The Internet may be collectively still freaking out over the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer from Monday night, but another iconic science fiction movie has a very important moment right now. Today is the long-awaited “Back to the Future Day,” as in, the date in the future from the second movie in the BTTF trilogy.

In Back to the Future II, Doc, Marty and Jennifer travel to October 21, 2015, and into a world of flying cars, hoverboards, and where the Cubs have won the World Series. That calendar date is today, and commemorate it, Verizon and Lyft have teamed up to bring at least one element of the movie to life for lucky riders in New York City.

A fleet of DeLorean DMC-12s are descending upon NYC tomorrow, and if you open up your Lyft app to hail a ride, you’ll notice the addition of McFly Mode. Between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm, you’ll be able to hail one of these DeLoreans for a 20-minute ride around the city.

According to Mashable, the promotion is part of #WhyNotWednesday, which has going on for a while with different initiatives, but this one seems like the coolest. Meanwhile,

Lyft is shipping the cars in from around the country, and has not disclosed the number of cars that it was actually able to bring in, so the number could be small. That means it could be tough to actually reserve one.
