For those that grew up in the late 90’s/early 2000’s, you’ll undoubtedly remember the crazy glow-in-the-dark phase. You’ll remember playing with the stars and moons packs, or the more esoteric glow in the dark POGs. As a product of that time period, this glow-in-the-dark car is bringing back all kinds of nostalgia.
This Aston Martin you see before you is the creation of David Morgan and Nevana Designs.

It’s David’s Aston Martin DBS entry for this year’s Gumball 3000 rally, and like I said before, it’s glow-in-the-dark. Using a special material that Nevana Designs came up with, the car has been “painted” in the substance that soaks up all the sun during the day and then emits a ghostly glow at night for up to 10 hours at a time.

The car is set to make its Gumball 3000 debut on May 23rd, and will be seen blasting across Europe for the next few weeks as the rally moves throughout the continent. Then it makes its way over to the United States after.
Let’s just hope this is the new trend that bucks the matte black, murdered out look that so many people have done lately. Because this is cool.
