2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Rendering

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro made its debut over the weekend, and already, it looks like this pony car is ready to give the other guys a run for their money. The one thing missing from the big debut, though, was a convertible version of the car, which Chevy promises is in the works. Rather than wait, this rendering gives a solid idea of how the car may look.

The redesign of the sixth generation Camaro doesn’t stray too far from the fifth generation, with slight refinements to the body that give it a more modern look. Chop off that top and that new look doesn’t need much of a change, which is usually how things work when automakers turn coupes into convertibles.

The single image rendering of a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible was done by X-Tomi Design. There’s no word on when Chevrolet will unveil the real deal, but this image sure makes us wish it happens sooner rather than later.

The wait is going to be a long one, so no chance of getting this in time for warm summer days. The coupe is due to hit showrooms at the end of this year, so it’ll be next summer before you can drop the top in a new Camaro.
