BOLD RIDE
With the recent release of the new Batmobile from the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice movie, it’s only right the world needed a counter balance to keep things in check. A. Kahn Design answered the call with its own rendition of the Aston Martin DB9 with this project named the WB12 Vengeance. And it looks frighteningly similar to Bane.
After working on plenty of custom Land Rovers throughout the past years, Kahn has recently shifted its focus to coachbuilding. While keeping the Aston Martin heart and soul, the WB12 (WB meaning wide body and 12 meaning 12-cylinder) is purely an exterior design practice that is intended to bring a more aggressive look Kahn thinks is missing. In fact, it’s supposedly meant to look like a sabertooth tiger (false, it looks like Bane).
“I’ve kept every aspect of the underlying car from the crash structures to airbags—mechanically it’s unaltered,” Kahn said in a statement. “This is coachbuilding in its traditional sense; taking a tried and tested product and working solely on the aesthetic.”
If the powertrain is untouched, that means it’s still powered with 510 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. Details about pricing and release coming soon.
