BOLD RIDE
Exciting things are happening at Jaguar. The sporty XE heads to US showrooms in 2016, a lightened XF made its appearance earlier this year in New York, and now it’s the turn of the top-dog XJ.
The most immediately noticeable additions include new LED head- and taillight treatments, of which the former tacks on double “j-blade” running lights. New oval exhausts find their way to the XJ’s rear, and according to Jaguar, Black Pack styling options will be available to subtly spec-up the car’s appearance.
There’s also been a slight shuffling of the deck in terms of trim levels, with Jaguar now adding an R-Sport and range-topping Autobiography long-wheelbase model. US shoppers won’t be able to select the firm’s updated low-emission diesel, but they will be privy to the model’s current 340 horsepower V6 and 550 horsepower V8 supercharged engines. The V8 also arrives in 470hp tune and the V6 offers all-wheel-drive in addition to the standard rear-wheel drive setup.
