Today we’re taking time out to celebrate our dads and all they’ve done for us. Teaching us how to ride a bike, sitting us down to talk about the birds and the bees, and giving us a good lesson on how to use a wrench.
If you and your dad love fixing up modern or classic cars, you might want to take a look at these five options for your next father/son project:Caterham 7
Fox Body Mustang
Sure, you can go out and buy a brand new 2015 Mustang. Or, you can pick up a dusty old Fox Body, take it to the garage, and shove as much power as you want in it.
Mazda Miata
It may not be the manliest of manly cars, but the old-school Miatas are some of the most fun-driving, easy to work on cars around. Perfect for a track day, or just some open-top fun on the highway.
Ford Bronco
Maybe something riding high is more your style. Like Mustangs, the old Broncos are great fun to work on with you and dad. And if you do it right, they come out looking pretty clean, too.
Any Old Chevy
Really, anything with a Chevy badge and a V8 should be the perfect formula for some father-son bonding time. Chevelle, Corvette, El Camino— you name it.
