The New Shelby GT350R Might Be the Meanest Sounding Car on the Planet

Hellcat, F-Type, Z/28— these three cars have some of the best sounding exhaust notes on the market at the moment. But they’re all about to be trumped by arguably one of the most badass Mustangs ever built: the Shelby GT350R.
 
Unlike the standard Mustang, the GT350R packs 526 horsepower from a 5.2-liter flat-plane V8, and with what appears to be stock exhaust (assuming this is still a prototype), one of the most hardcore sounds we’ve ever heard. The original video comes from The Smoking Tire‘s Matt Farah— just listen:



If that sound doesn’t excite you, I’m not sure what will. Not to mention we’ve already heard it carving up the track, even if it was for just a few seconds. But really— can you think of anything that sounds better?
