McLaren P1 Hypercar Shows Up on eBay, It’s Not Cheap

BOLD RIDE

It isn’t often that you find a used McLaren P1 coming up for sale. In fact, with only 375 of the hallowed hypercars ever built, it isn’t often that you find one in the flesh at all.

However, one McLaren did recently surface with a sticker price. The P1 is listed up for sale on eBay, and bidding starts at an eye-watering $1.6 million. If it does indeed sell, the P1 will undoubtedly become one of the fastest and most expensive cars to ever cross the eBay auction block.

Then again, the winning bidder does get quite the car for their money. Powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 and hybrid system, the McLaren P1 pummels the ground with 903 horsepower and can vault from zero to 186 mph in a mere 17 seconds.

This P1 has been treated to a variety of light aftermarket alterations, including a custom grey Giovanna Edition wrap and GFG Forged Modular wheels sitting on Pirelli tires, sized 20 inches in the front and 21 inches in the rear. That new footwear replaces McLaren’s standard 19 and 20 inch high-strength aluminum wheels, though the seller notes that the entire car can be returned to stock.

The purist would be inclined to return the car to its showroom stock appearance, however this exact P1 has already become quite a pinup. The rarified McLaren currently graces the June 2015 cover of the duPont Registry. It’s prettier still considering it has driven only 550 miles in its short lifespan.
