BOLD RIDE
Dwight Howard just can’t win. No matter what he does, no matter where he is, and no matter how hard he tries, he’s just one of those public figures who is always going to be met with harsh criticism. Blame it on his loud personality, blame it on the popular opinion that he’s an underachiever, or blame it on the fact that he actually threw the ball in instead of dunking it during his ‘Superman” dunk contest (@ ME, BRO). He’s polarizing, and his newest announcement and accompanying ride is no different.
According to TMZ Sports, Howard wants to scrap his Superman nickname (which people said he stole from Shaq), and now wants to go by “Flash.” You know, the nickname Shaq’s old teammate Dwyane Wade used to go .
In order to commemorate the new character persona, he completely customized his Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. Lucky for him, the colors of The Flash and his team the Houston Rockets are the same. The end result is … (how do we put this nicely) unique!
Nothing on this car was left untouched. The customization, which reportedly cost $65,000 (pretty much what the car cost in the first place), includes Flash logos on the hood and gas cap, Forgiatos, new embroidered leather seats, and a custom lighting system.
Now Dwight needs to get James Harden an appropriate vehicle for his “Step Daddy” (that’s seriously what Howard calls Harden) nickname.
