This rendering of an Acura NSX roadster makes us wish it was the real thing instead of something out of one man’s imagination. The 2017 Acura NSX coupe goes into production next month, and this roadster would look darn fine rolling off the line, too.

It sports a Honda badge in this rendering by Theophiluschin, but its styling is true to the Acura-branded NSX coupe we know here in the U.S. All that’s missing is the roof. Changes include the side scoops and a revised rear due to the power retractable soft top.

If and when it hits production, it will likely have the same 3.5-liter V6 engine and three electric motors found on the coupe. Total output for that setup sits at 573 horsepower and 476 lb-ft of torque. With the top down, that would definitely get the wind blowing through your hair on a sunny day.

The real world coupe version of the NSX will sell for $156,000. There are no confirmed plans for a convertible just yet, but it’s a possibility in the far distant future. It would likely fetch an even higher price. If we’re lucky and they build one, perhaps they’ll use this fantastic rendering as a bit of inspiration.
