Put on your party hat. 2016 marks a banner year for the historic Lamborghini marque, what with the occasion of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini’s 100th birthday, and the Italian automaker has wasted no time in celebrating. The 2017 Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 was the grand result, which will be limited to just 40 built, all of which have already been sold.

But while Lamborghini celebrates, so too do its fans, and one in particular created their own 100th birthday present to Ferruccio—this striking concept car. Penned by industrial design student Youngjai Jun, this is his Lamborghini Missile concept. Admittedly it exists only in the digital world, but that doesn’t detract from its looks. This is one serious bit of eye candy.

As its ballistic name suggests, Jun says he shaped his concept with the contours of a missile in mind, giving the design its sleek yet simple and aerodynamic lines, complemented by a tall sharklike tail fin.

Its Lamborghini inspiration is clearly evident too. From the front, the supercar concept adopts a set of large air intakes reminiscent of the current Lamborghini Aventador (of which Jun says the car is based), and melds them with a clean snout reflective of the new Huracan. The Huracan similarities continue around the sides and to the rear taillight, which shows a direct relation to the pedigreed Raging Bull as well.

Underneath its skin, Jun envisions the concept to wield the Aventador’s 6.5-liter V12 engine—much like the new Centenario—but in this instance tuned to 739 horsepower and allotting a 220 mph top speed. All-wheel drive remains intact.

Jun says he designed the concept just as a fun project, but already it has been getting quite a lot of attention online, and seems to resonate well with fans.
