For most of you, you use Apple products to get through your workday. Or should we say, lack thereof. But in the next five years, you might be using the same brand of products to get you to and from work, too. According to analysts, the Apple car will be here by the year 2021.

It will, however, come at a price. This electric/autonomous piece of technology will go on sale for around $75,000. That’s pretty rare air, and will make it pricier than the base Tesla Model S. And here you thought you paid a lot for your last iPhone.

Gene Munster, analyst at Piper Jaffray, told Apple Car Fans, “If you look at the overall automotive industry, Apple historically plays toward the high-end.” Meaning their car will sell for “around $75,000.” That’s only if they manage to bring it to market. He gives them a 50 to 60 percent chance of actually getting it produced.

The odds are higher if the company is already deep in the design process since there’s no reason for them to abandon the project without seeing it through to the end. Despite being an expert, this is still all speculation and he admits he could be wrong. Munster also once thought that Apple TV would be a huge success, but it wasn’t the success he forecasted.
