Genesis New York Concept

Hyundai is going upscale with its new Genesis luxury brand, if you haven’t already heard. They showed off the surprisingly beautiful G90 concept at the Detroit Auto Show, but even then, it wasn’t anything particularly new or unique compared to other luxury cars.

The New York Concept is entirely different.

According to Hyundai, this is supposed to represent what we are going to see from the Genesis brand in the future, and it’s a fine-looking future they have planned. It’s striking from every angle, especially the vents on either side that make it completely unique to the segment.

As fantastic as the exterior looks, it’s almost put to shame by the amazing interior. Here, the Genesis New York Concept looks like something straight out of the future. It has a huge touchscreen panel that stretches across the entire dash. Add in a steering wheel that looks like it belongs in a race car, and this is not your typical luxury sedan.

Our only issue with this car is that it’s still just a concept. We won’t see the Genesis New York on the road, but we will see cars inspired by this design. The current plan is to have six cars in the Genesis lineup by 2020.
