Here’s something that classic Jeep fans won’t be able to resist: it’s a 1976 FSJ Cherokee Chief, and it’s up for sale on eBay. For being 40-year-old, this Jeep looks pretty great, and it needs a new home just in time for some summer fun.
It has a 401 motor and a rebuilt 400 turbo transmission along with new shocks and new Goodyear M/T Kevlar sidewalls. That very 70s red paint job is original to the car, and so is the interior, so you know this has been well-cared for over the years.
The seller is including all sorts of extras, including a weather-stripping kit, miscellaneous parts, and three additional sets of factory wheels. There’s a white powder-coated set, which are apparently quite rare, white powder-coated wagon wheels, and peanut slot polished aluminum wheels.
The seller says he has invested about $15K in the Jeep. It runs well, but there are issues like an exhaust leak discovered after the car was found sitting in a storage container for a number of years. If you’re looking for a classic Jeep that needs a little work, then head to ebay and place your bid.
