On September 26, 1966, Chevrolet gave the world the original Camaro. Its styling was iconic, its performance great, and it would go on to ignite arguably the greatest automotive rivalry of all time. Now, aged fifty, Chevrolet is celebrating its five decades of the Camaro with one supremely sleek special edition—the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition

Available on both the coupe and convertible, and in 2LT and 2SS variants, the 50th Anniversary Edition comes dressed to the nines in a silky Nightfall Gray Metallic paint scheme, and boasts a flurry of special appearance features to differentiate it from the crowd.
Special “Fifty” badges now adorn the pony car’s flanks and rear tailgate, highlighted by a set of unique 20-inch wheels with “50th Anniversary” center caps, a racy orange stripe package, new grille accents, and a body-color splitter. If you nab a 2LT Camaro as well, Chevrolet will also throw in its RS Appearance Package.

The celebration doesn’t end on the outside either. Inside, the special Chevrolet Camaro fits a jet black interior offset with suede accents and orange stitching. Special 50th Anniversary logos are also applied to the car’s seat backs, steering wheel, and illuminated door sills.

The announcement may have arrived in early March, however customers won’t be able to get their hands on one of the 50th Anniversary Camaros until summer of this year. Pricing has yet to be announced. The celebratory edition adds to a growing line of new 2017 model year Camaros, which also includes the new track
