BOLD RIDE
The Chevy Corvette C7 Stingray is a beautiful car and tampering with it sometimes yields odd results. This time, that tampering has given this Stingray 3500 horsepower and a unique and still very beautiful design. It sounds as good as it looks and is an absolute beast on the track.
Its owner, Andrew, picked up a brand new 2014 Corvette Stingray from the dealer and had it converted into something slightly more impressive. There’s a 3-speed transmission along with two gigantic 102mm Precision turbochargers and a body structure that’s still what it had when it left the factory. It even kept the hatch on the roof, which opens to reveal a roll cage that definitely was not part of the factory build.
There are body components that had to be handmade. This includes the doors which fit snug with the original weatherstipping. It wasn’t built to be a moneymaker, but something that the owner simpy created as a hobby. Can you even imagine having the cash to build a car like this just for kicks?
Andrew said he had a lot of fun swatching it come to life and enjoys seeing it taken out to race and the reactions it gets from the crowd. Still, if it had to sit in the garage, he’d be okay with that since the fun was in making it all come together.
