With a price of $375,000 brand new, not many of us were able to get our grubby mitts on the uber-exclusive Lexus LFA supercar. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have an LFA all our own. At the 2016 North American Auto Show, Lexus unveiled an LFA for the common man, the LC 500 Coupe (though, it’s definitely not a bargain).

The immediate thing you’ll notice is just how much it looks like a Baby LFA. The lines are smooth and sophisticated, the hood is long, and the grille is…gaping. It’s an even more dramatic look from the aggressive RC F.

That dramatic design isn’t without dramatic performance to match. Under the hood is the same 5.0-liter V8 you’ll find on the RC F and GS F. Horsepower sits at 467, which is enough to make competing cars like the F-Type and 911 think twice. All that power is paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Sitting on an all-new platform dubbed the GA-L, the rear-wheel-drive LC was prioritized to have a low center of gravity, and near-perfect weight distribution. With a 52 front/48 rear split, we’d say they got pretty close.

Lexus hasn’t said when the LC will officially go on sale, but if we had to guess, we’ll see the new LC in Lexus dealerships come late this year. It’s on display now at the Detroit Auto Show.
