It’s no surprise that Ford is selling a butt-load of new Shelby GT350R Mustangs. Or at least, that’s what we’re hearing. But amongst the talk surrounding the new, track-focused pony car, one thing customers seem to be missing are the two extra seats in the back.
Worry no more, concerned customer, as Ford has moved swiftly in adding on an option for you to have two more seats than before. They’re not just some slapped together option either, they’re fully coated in Alcantara and red stitching, just like the front seats. The perfect addition for your 500-horsepower, tire-slaying machine.
“We always listen to customer feedback,” said Ford Performance global director Dave Pericak. “So when many requested a back seat for their GT350R, we acted quickly to make it available.”
Quickly? Yes. Cheaply? Meh, not so much. The add-on will cost prospective buyers an extra $999, not including installation. But even with those two extra seats in the back, Ford promises that this is still the most performance-oriented Mustang they’ve ever built.
Now you just have to find two people dumb enough to sit back there.
