This Unsuspecting BMW 2 Series Has More Power Than Some Sports Cars
You would think that with the arrival of the all-new BMW M2, tuners would give up on fiddling with its less-powerful 2 Series sibling. But don’t tell the folks at G-Power how to do business—they just tuned a BMW 235i and turned it into an M2 killer. But you’d never know by looking at it.
Straight to the point: this thing puts out 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft torque thanks to G-Power’s BI-TRONIK 2 V1 tune. That bests the M2 by 10 horsepower and 48 lb-ft torque. Not a bad upgrade for a 2 Series that looks like it could be owned by your elderly neighbor.
With the all-new tuning package, G-Power says its BMW 235i with hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds, and go on all the way to 186 mph (300 km/h). What’s the price for a package like this? How’s the not-so-low price of $2,508 sound—or $2,625 with installation.
The ultimate driving machine has now become the ultimate sleeper for one deep-pocketed enthusiast
